    An Alvarinho from Soalheiro in Monção e Melgaço, the northern corner of Portugal's Vinho Verde region, from vines on granite soils. Named after that rock, it is fresh and mineral, with citrus, white peach and a saline, stony finish. Precise and more structured than typical Vinho Verde.
