The historic Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, also known as ‘The Judgement Of Paris’. A competition that revolutionised the way we perceive winemaking today. French oenophiles participated in two blind tastings: one of top tier Chardonnay, the other, Bordeaux vs the Cab Sauv of California. Rather embarrassingly, Californian wine rated best in each category, leaving both judges and on-viewers alike scrating la tête.
