Soalheiro Espumante

These guys at Soalheiro were somewhat trailblazers in the espumante game, being the first  to produce a 100% Alvarinho sparkling wine.  Other vintners wasted little time in jumping on the bandwagon (who can blame them? It's fab), but kudos to the pioneers who took a leap of faith and brought the world this stalwart crowed pleaser. This wine is all about showcasing the purity of the fruit. Bright, pure and expressive Espumante Bruto Alvarinho follows the classic method of production, undergoing a secondary fermentation in the bottle. On the pallet you'll find citrus fruits with a taught minerality and a bready finish.  An ideal aperitif, this zippy bright brut is perfect with oysters, salty cheeses and grilled meats.
