Markovitis Alkemi Rose 2021

Markovitis' Alkemi rosé ( made from 100% Xinomavro) is a complex and deeply gastronomic wine. The family-run, organic winery is currently led by Marcos Markovitis. The family chose to plant their vines on gentle clay-soil slopes between beautiful forests of Kermes Oak, which benefit from an east facing vista. A relative rarity in this varietal, Marcos has crafted a rosé with an elegantly structured and spicy profile; with notes of dried apricots, pink grapefruit, and Mediterranean herbs. The finish expresses a subtle hint of pine, which seems to emulate the Northern Macedonia landscape from where it originates.
