Jérôme Lacondemine Beaujolais Villages Blanc Cuvee Chantemerle 2019

Only 2% of Beaujolais Production is in white, which pinions this wine as regional oddity, but one which should not be overlooked.  Deep lemon in hue, this wine straddles the often turbulent waters of opulence and structure.  Rounded with rich, creamy textures (similar in style to wines of the Maconnais regions which Beaujolais geographically rubs shoulders) it retains a brisk citrus backbone which assures an excellently fresh and long finish. 
This wine is made form 100% Chardonnay, has seen no malolactic fermentation and has undergone a very light oaking in new barrels, which guilds the palate with a soft hint of vanilla.
