The name "Soler" comes from the Venetian dialect for "attic" where grapes were dried before fermentation to intensify flavour. The native varietals in this blend, Refosco and Marzemino have undergone Ripasso, imbuing the wine with rich, intense flavours of ripe and dried red and black fruits, spices, chocolate, and a velvety texture. A great alternative for those who want Amarone with the volume turned down just slightly.
