The Ad Hoc Mixed Six - a case of 6 of some of our house favourite wines, without breaking the bank. This case includes 6 white wines in a variation of styles.

You'll be greeted with a bottle of each of:

  • Ciello Blanco 'Cataratto' - Produced entirely from indigenous Sicilian varietal Catarratto, this wine expresses character and personality way beyond it's price tag. Ripe lemon and stone fruit character with a refreshing minerality, and hints of ginger on the finish.
  • Boekenhootskloof 'The Wolftrap - White' - A striking, aromatic white from the revered Boekenhootskloof estate in South Africa. A blend of Viognier and Chenin Blanc - you can expect a perfumed nose of white blossom in a harmonious marriage with spiced, baked apple.
  • Collalto Verdiso - A 'frizzante' white from the Collalto family who's vineyards are based in Treviso, an area usually recognised for it's famous Italian fizz. Made from a lesser known varietal called Verdiso, which is then blended with Glera - the major grape in Prosecco and re-fermented to give it it's gentle sparkle. An exciting alternative to sparkling wines with generous green apple character.
  • Kerpen Blauschiefer Riesling Trocken, Mosel - The perfect example of Mosel Riesling in a dry style. Zesty and crisp green apples, white stone fruits and an electric acid line make this a mouth watering and endlessly refreshing wine.
  • Domaine Gaujal Picpoul de Pinet - 'Picpoul' - which literally translates to 'lip stinger' is a real testament to this wines wonderful citrus character. The Piquepoul grapes used to produce this wine are picked at their optimum ripeness to bring generous citrus character, delicate yellow stone fruit and a grapefruit tartness on the finish. Perfect as an accompaniment to any seafood dishes!
  • Kumeu Village Pinot Gris - Produced at Kumeu River on New Zealand's North Island, this hand-harvested Pinot Gris is much more Alsace in style than Italy. Dry and aromatic with generous lemon and pear character, with the palate expressing softer stone fruits and a mineral purity that very much makes this a food friendly choice.
