The Ad Hoc Mixed Six - a case of 6 of some of our house favourite wines, without breaking the bank. This case includes 6 red wines in a variation of styles.

You'll be greeted with a bottle of each of:

• Boekenhootskloof 'The Wolftrap - Red' - The entry level offering from revered South African producer Boekenhoutskloof that packs a serious punch - with ripe black fruits, elegant cooking spices and hints of violet.
  

• Cantina Paolini 'Frappato' - A bright, fruity and quaffable Sicilian red. Somewhat reminiscent of a Beaujolais - but with a distinct Italian charm. Cherries, mulberry, raspberry and warming spices - simply delightful.
  

• Marques de Zearra 'Rioja Crianza' - A textbook example of the excellent value to be found in Rioja. Ripe bramble fruits with rich roasted coffee aromas, hints of vanilla and cedar from it's time aged in American oak.
  

• Domaine Andre Cologne et Fils 'Beaujolais-Villages' - Produced from the highest quality grapes from one of the highest profile Cru villages in Beaujolais, behold the Gamay varietal in all of it's glory. This wine is bursting with crunchy summer berries, wild strawberries and sweet spices. 
  

• Casa Ferreirinha 'Papa Figos' Douro - A truly outstanding example of the quality Douro wines can offer - showcasing a blend of local grape varietals carefully selected from the best vineyards in the region. The nose is bursting with blackberries, cherries and peppery spice aromas - leading into a velvety smooth, warming mouthfeel with a refreshing acidity to bring balance.
  

• Guerrieri Rizzardi Valpolicella DOP Classico - Using grapes sourced from three Cru vineyards, this level of quality is almost unheard of at this price point. This is a classic Valpolicella that exuberates balance - with expressive red fruit character and crunchy acidity.
